The Fourth Annual

Tennessee River Grace Family Retreat

Thursday, June 27th - Sunday, June 30th 2019

Nathan Bedford State Park located on the Tennessee River near Camden, TN

First and foremost it is our desire to be edified through the teaching and preaching of God's Word rightly divided. Secondly we would like to provide an opportunity for likeminded believers to come together to fellowship and be exhorted. In addition we would hope this retreat could offer grace families the opportunity to relax and vacation together on the Tennessee river.

Fishing: Bring your fishing poles and enjoy early morning fishing for bass and brim or late evening and night fishing for catfish. (note to all you yankees… these are not like the mudcats of the north but are channel or blue cats that get huge and are delicious to eat) A TN fishing liscense is required.

Swimming: Eva beach is a very short drive away and is a free public access swim area. This white sand beach is not usually utilized very much so it could provide some good family relaxation time. (note: the white sand ends at the shore…. swim shoes are recommended) A swimming pool will also be made available at no charge.

Lakeshore Water Park has been reserved for Saturday between 1-4pm and will be made available free of charge to all that would like to participate. There is a lazy river, water slide and kiddie pool area as well as a grill for those who want to eat and just watch. (conservative swimwear is requested)

Boating: There is boat access to the lake from the park. We are looking at renting a couple pontoon boats to offer free of charge for fishing and/or sightseeing.

Hiking: Trails perfect for hiking wind through the park, providing excellent views of wildlife, water and woods. Trail maps available at the park office.

State Park activities: During the month of June the state park will also provide activities such as free archery lessons, museum tours and hay rides.

All meals will be provided at no charge starting with the evening meal on Thursday and ending with breakfast on Sunday.

The group lodge has  been reserved by the church and has 64 bunk style beds with access to bathrooms and showers and are available at no charge. (You must request these beds on the registration form as they are available on a first come first serve basis)

Deluxe Cabins: There are 7 deluxe cabins available…each features 2 bedrooms with 2 full-size beds in each room and 2 full baths. Each cabin has a fully furnished kitchen, air conditioning, gas log fireplace, satellite TV and outside grill. Bed and bath linens are provided although there is no maid service. Rates: $110/night for an entire cabin, $60/night for master suite w/2 beds and connected bath, $50/night for 2nd bedroom w/2 beds and bath open to living room. UPDATE - ALL CABINS ARE ALREADY RESERVED

Campgrounds: There are 2 campgrounds available. The Happy Hollow camping area has 37 sites, each equipped with tables, grills, water and electric hookups. This area is served by a playground and a central bathhouse with hot showers. A dump station for self-contained trailer rigs is available. Rates: $16. The 2nd campground is primitive camping with 13 available sites. Water is available, but not at each site; and there is a central restroom. Hot showers are available to those using this campsite from either the Happy Hollow campground or the group lodge. Rates: $11
